Potential Candidates Learn More about Becoming a Somerville Firefighter at Upcoming Registration Events on August 17 and August 24
SOMERVILLE – Interested in serving your community as a member of the Somerville Fire Department? Then join current members of the SFD, along with the City’s Human Resources and Racial and Social Justice Departments, to learn more and get on-site assistance with the application for the firefighter exam.
More information on both events can be found below.
Firefighter Exam Registration Event #1:
Date: August 17, 2023
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: Somerville Fire Station Training Room (266 Broadway)
Firefighter Exam Registration Event #2:
Date: August 24, 2023
Time: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location: Somerville Fire Station Training Room (266 Broadway)
Applications to take the upcoming firefighter exam are due by August 29, 2023. Testing will begin on October 8, 2023. The exam fee may be waived for applicants who qualify for financial assistance.
