In his first episode of 2019, Joe Lynch interviews enviro-entrepreneur, media producer, and twice former U.S. House candidate Byron DeLear, author of "The First American Flag: Revisiting the Grand Union at Prospect Hill". His book is the origin story of a treasured national icon—the Grand Union flag—and examines a critical period at the end of 1775 and beginning of 1776 when several matters of American national identity were established.
