Miyako Rico

Miyako Rico is one of SMC’s tireless Media Assistants who greets visitors to SMC and ensures the the positive experience of our guests and members.  Behind the scenes, our Media Assistants are working on intensive media management projects that improve the delivery of SMC’s services.

Miyako is a recent graduate of Simmons University where she studied graphic design and English literature. She is driven by the power of visual storytelling to inspire change and has a vested interest in uplifting marginalized communities. In her creative practice, she’s passionate about bridging the gap between graphic design and art, using her background in traditional mediums. She’s excited to be a part of the SMC team and support their goal of empowering local community members to tell their stories.
