Intended for creators looking to make everyone laugh. Learn tricks of producing sketch comedy, but also develop the skill to perform in front of a live audience!
Somerville Night Live is a comedy sketch program in which students will be trained in improvisation, through structured workshops at the beginning of the year, which will gradually become more youth-driven.
Somerville Night Live is a comedy sketch program in which students will be trained in improvisation, through structured workshops at the beginning of the year, which will gradually become more youth-driven.Once youth have displayed competency with our equipment, they will then be able to work on their own individual or collaborative passion projects with staff support. The end goal is for students to be able to fully produce their very own comedy sketches, from script writing to editing!
The program will take place from 3-5pm. We are accepting comedians from 3rd Grade all the way up to 8th! Students will be paired with those close in age where applicable.
